Myla Angelina is a Los Angeles– and New York–based writer and filmmaker whose work moves between documentary production, editorial storytelling, and digital media. She studied Public Relations and Film at the University of Southern California, where she began developing her voice in nonfiction storytelling. During this time, she collaborated with acclaimed documentarians including Lauren Greenfield and Rory Kennedy.

Her experience across production, research, and story development informs a body of work that examines how women construct identity, visibility, and meaning within media-saturated culture. Bridging journalism and visual storytelling, Myla approaches narrative with both precision and sensitivity — revealing the emotional architectures beneath contemporary image-making.

Alongside her work in film, Myla writes short essays and digital fragments that function as field notes on modern femininity — mapping the intersections of performance, intimacy, and self-authorship in the lives of young women. Across mediums, her practice reflects a sustained curiosity about how power and personhood are negotiated through image.
